Darkness, like a gripping hand pulling you under water. Choking, suffocating. The feeling of death is all around you. Hopelessness sets in. Gripping you tighter it becomes impossible to breathe.
Darkness, like an ever dimming light, losing hope. As the surface stretches out, hope loses meaning. Struggle for safety, struggle for hope. Breath slips through your lips, reaching the surface.
The surface has never seemed this far away before. As your breath reaches the surface leaving you to drown in peace. Collapsing your chest there is nothing left. No hope, no fear, no faith, no courage. Shut your eyes, darkness sets in.
